Quick & Easy Apple Tart

One of the easiest apple dessert recipes I ever did make is this quick and easy apple tart recipe. One of our dearest friends from NY showed me how to make this after eating it at her home one evening and we have made this a lot over the years since that evening! Simple ingredients and minimal prep makes this a fun one to make with the kiddos even on a busy weeknight!

Prep Time: 10 min Total Time: 10 mins
Servings 12
What You Need
  • 1 Puff Pastry Roll
  • 3 ounces Apple Sauce (I use 1 apple sauce food pouch 3.17-3.25oz)
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 3 ounces Butter (cubes)
  • 2 Granny Smith Apples (cored and thinly sliced)
Instructions
  1. Pull out puff pastry and set aside to get to room temp.

Core and thinly slice the granny smith apples

Roll out your puff pastry on parchment paper or silpat mat.  Use a fork and indent the pastry to keep it from puffing up in the middle.

Spread a thin layer of apple sauce.

Lay out your thinly sliced granny smith apple slices.

Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon all over the apples.

Spread out a few pieces of the cubed butter and a pinch of salt.

Bake 400f for 20 -30 mins until golden brown and crispy on the edges.

Cool, cut and serve as is or with some fun toppings such as whipped cream or ice cream!
