Derma E Hair and Skin Care Products . . . . 

Have you heard of Derma E?  Up until a few months ago I had not but after trying some of their products I have become a fan.  If you are new around here let me share a little about the company.  They originated in a small health food store in Southern California!  They have since grown and have become one of the largest natural facial care brands in the United States!   What intrigued me to first try Derma E skin care products a few months ago was the fact that they are an eco-ethical skin care brand so the products are 100% vegan, cruelty-free and do not contain soy, gluten, GMO ingredients, parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, sodium lauryl sulfates, petrolatum, mineral oil or artificial colors!  Their packaging is recyclable and they also off set conventional electricity by using wind certificates.  

Let’s review the products . . . . 

For this review, Derma E sent me some hair and skin care products from their Firming and Hydrating lines to try.  The Derma E products that were sent are:  Scalp Relief Shampoo and Conditioner, Scalp Relief Treatment, Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner, Bonding Hair Repair Oil, Keratin Thickening Spray Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum, and Blue Light Shield Spray.  

Scalp Relief Shampoo & Conditioner and Scalp Relief Treatment

My daughter recently experienced dry scalp and was seeing flakes whenever she put up or down her hair.  Not sure if it’s the dry winter weather or an ongoing issue we just did not notice before.  She tried the Derma E Scalp Relief set and it has made a difference.  It isn’t gone but has improved dramatically.

The best part is that I felt safe letting her give these products a try!  Derma e products are free of harmful chemicals and use natural products such as tea tree oil and menthol to help soothe the irritated scalp and give a refreshing feel.  This set helped repair her dry scalp and left her hair soft and healthier.    

The only thing she did mention was not liking the tea tree oil smell so if that is something you are sensitive to take note of it being in this product. 

Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner

Personally, I have noticed my hair thinning over the years especially after this 6th baby.  Maybe it’s diet, maybe age, maybe the kids or a combination of all of the above.  I coupled the Thickening shampoo & conditioner, Keratin Thickening spray and the Bonding Hair Repair Oil 3 times a week and noticed a good difference.  My hair felt cleaner, healthier and smoother especially after the Bonding Repair oil.

The Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner have hint of a minty smell.  The mix of natural oils left my hair feeling softer, silkier, healthier and slightly thicker!  

Blue Shield Skin Products

Last but not least are the two skin care products.  These products worked great although the color was something I needed to get used to.  Due to the Blue Green algae ingredient the green color was very visible but did not show once applied.  Both products were not greasy and my make up went over them perfectly.

The Blue Light Shield Spray with Green Algae Lutein ingredient has an unappealing green color in the bottle but it sprayed on clear.  There is surprisingly no odor from the Ginseng root extract that I could detect.  The spray was light, refreshing and set my make up well.  

The Blue Light Shield Concentrated Serum with Blue Green Algae Lutein and Activated Charcoal also had an unappealing dark green color but when applied it immediately became clear.  The serum felt light, refreshing and gave my skin the little boost of moisturizer that it needed.
