diy Bunny Sign

Do you decorate for Spring?  I am just starting to gather some spring and easter decor to spruce up the house!  I can’t believe it’ll be Easter next month and that our stuff is in storage still as our new home is still unfinished.  We are thankful we were able to secure a home and build but with the delays it has been quite the journey.  We are hoping to move in the end of April so until then I’m gathering a few things here and there to decorate with as we go through the seasons.

This simple, budget friendly and fun diy bunny sign is the perfect addition to your spring home decor!  I found this pallet style sign in the Target dollarspot for $3 and just knew I wanted to make a bunny sign!  I already had the paint and spouncer brush at home but you could easily pick up a small bottle of paint and a pack of spouncer brushes at the dollar store or jo anns or any craft section.   This is truly a quick diy so quick that I did it while my little ones were eating lunch today!  I’m sharing the bunny template below so scroll down to print your FREE copy to make your own diy bunny sign!

What You’ll Need:

  • Sign
  • Bunny Template
  • Spuncer or brush
  • Paint (I used white)
  • Paper plate or napkin

What To Do:

Step 1

Print the free bunny template

Step 2

Cut out the bunny from the middle and trim the sides to fit within your frame (if needed)

Step 3

Secure the stencil and paint it using your spouncer but make sure not to use too much paint.

Tip:  dab your spouncer in paint then dab on your plate or napkin before dabbing your sign.  Too much paint will glob and go on unevenly.

Step 4

Let dry and decorate (optional).

Some ideas:  adding a tail, words, or decorative trim!
