Are you a fan of fairytales?  All of my kids love them.  Traveling off to an imaginary land where there are magical creatures or powers so their imaginations take off is so much fun.  A story where good conquers evil, the rich help the poor, the underdog wins the battle and so on. Fairytales are great for so many reasons but since it was #nationaltellafairytale yesterday, I thought it would be fun to do create some fairytale fun crafts and game to do with my kids!

Today I’m sharing some fun and easy paper crafts.  My kids range from 11 years old down to preschool so there is a little something for just about everyone!  The best part is you only need a printer, paper and some crayons or markers to do these with your little ones.  These were a perfect snowy day indoor activity after school so make sure to save this!

Castle Coloring & Make Your Own Mask

This castle printable was a fun coloring activity and my older ones even made up a story to go along with it.

I suggested they include:

Once upon a time

Setting

Characters

Problem/Solution or Good/Bad

Magical powers/Imaginary Animal

___ lived happily ever after

It was so much fun hearing their own made up fairytales!

All of them loved coloring and making their own masks to go with their castle! Check out the free printable here .

Fairytale Themed Memory Game

My kids love memory games so I created a set with fun fairytale images.  My preschooler got the hang of it after a few tries.  I incorporated letters into it for him to practice just for fun as well.  Print out this free Fairytale Themed Memory Game here.

Fairytale Tracing

My preschooler loved this tracing worksheet.  He thought the king, queen, prince and princess were ‘so cool’.  I am so glad he liked it because sometimes I struggle getting him to do his traditional worksheets.  This tracing sheet is a fun way to strengthen his pencil grip and practice his control of it.
